Workshop follow-up email

Send the letter before they leave the parking lot.

A workshop follow-up email is the room, written down. Names, dates, the sentences they already said. Not a recap of how it felt. Bracketed words are yours. The letters below are the ones on the kits — open the URL, copy, send.

Send before they leave the parking lot. The room is not over until this goes out.

Names, dates, and the sentences from the board. If you need a vibe paragraph, you do not have a follow-up. You have a thank-you note.

One letter. One packet of boards and notes. Do not attach a deck they will not open.

If they cancelled, they write why in one line and rebook. You will ask whether it happened, not whether it felt good.

1. Difficult conversations — the calendar, not the conversation about conversations

Copy-paste the letter at /t/conversations/followup. Matches the difficult conversations workshop.

Subject: The conversation you committed to — name, ask, and the slot

The product of yesterday is the calendar, not the conversation about conversations.

Paste this and send it to yourself. Then send the invite.

Who: [name]
When, this week: [day, time, 30 minutes]
The ask, as a sentence they could repeat:
[paste]

The 90-second opening you practiced (purpose, one fact, the ask):
[paste]

The four bans — do not do these:
[paste]

I will ask you next week whether the meeting happened. Not whether it felt good. If you cancelled, write why in one line and rebook before Friday.

2. Leadership offsite — the bets, the stops, and who tells the company

Copy-paste the letter at /t/offsite/followup. Matches the half-day offsite agenda.

Subject: Offsite decisions — the bets, the stops, and who tells the company

Team —

Decisions from Thursday, written in the sentences we used in the room so we do not re-litigate them in Slack.

THE BETS (next two quarters)
1. [Bet sentence] — owner [Name], first proof by [date]
2. [Bet sentence] — owner [Name], first proof by [date]
3. [Bet sentence] — owner [Name], first proof by [date]

WE STOP
• [Thing], killed by [Name] by [date]
• [Thing], killed by [Name] by [date]

48-HOUR COMMS
[Name] sends the all-hands note by Friday 3pm using the four sentences in the shared doc. Do not freelance a different story to your team.

Boards and scribe notes: [link]

If you think we got a bet wrong, you have until Monday 10am to say so in this thread — with a replacement sentence, not a vibe. After that, we run this.

Send once. Do not send a recap that restates the whole day. If you must bump, one line: “Still waiting on the invite. The ask is in the letter.”

What to cut before you hit send

In Places, the follow-up lives on the public kit, next to paper and the live run. Copy it from /t/conversations/followup or /t/offsite/followup. No studio. The letter and the workbook describe the same room.
